I was one.

With 15 years as an educator with the special education system, 19 years of experience as a mom to neurodivergent kids, and a lifetime of living and navigating the Neurodivergent life, I am finally able to be the adult I needed while I was growing up. And now that I am an adult, I have studied, learned, worked, and earned a unique perspective through the special lens of expertise that is managing the overwhelming and complicated experience of figuring out and understanding the world as a neurodivergent human.

With the B.E.S.T. (Behavioral, Educational, Social-Emotional, Technological) therapeutic approach, we cover the full spectrum of a neurodivergent child’s development. We engage with family, friends, and community, utilizing a multifaceted “whole life, whole child” approach, we help your child to affirm and love who they are, not in spite of their differences, but to embrace those very things that make your child so amazingly fantastically uniquely them.

At Exceptional Milwaukee we utilize techniques from all modalities of evidence-based treatments, as well as novel techniques, and develop an exceptionally individualized treatment plan to help support your child in all aspects of their lives… From community engagement, executive functioning, AAC/PECS training and reinforcement, academic IEP support, social-emotional skills, regulation skills, self-advocacy, or technological social development and safety, we help your child, and the community in which they live, to become more accepting, embracing, supportive, engaged, and affirming.
